2010 has been a busy year for the 3 Parks Initiative of your Community Foundation, with a fall opening planned for Railroad Park, monthly hikes at Red Mountain Park and a “green” award for the new Treetop Education Center at Ruffner Mountain Nature Center. Area businesses and foundations committed some $15 million in 2007 and 2008, sparked by a $1 million challenge grant from your Community Foundation.

We continue to administer pledge payments from the campaign, and an advisory committee of community representatives reviews that process.
